Urology (Men's Health)
Urology is the branch of surgery concerned with the urinary tract and male reproductive organs.
We offer regular outpatient clinics with Consultant Urologists for the investigation of a variety of urological conditions. We aim, wherever possible, to provide the convenience of a one-stop clinic to both reassure and make a diagnosis where necessary. Should further treatment be required, the hospital has three fully-equipped theatres where surgery can be carried out and private ensuite bedrooms for your recovery.
We also offer a one-stop clinic prostate clinic to provide a rapid diagnosis for patients with prostate problems, worried it could be cancer. The clinic is led by a consultant urologist who will assess you initially and if necessary, may then refer you for further tests or PCA3 screening which can usually be done during the same appointment. You will then see the consultant for a second time and whenever possible, the results will be available for them to discuss with you and, if necessary, discuss the options and recommend any further course of treatment needed.
