Paediatrics (children)
Paediatrics is the branch of medicine concerned with the development of children, and the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of childhood diseases.
Whether your child needs an outpatient consultation, a diagnostic scan or surgery, we can care for them from diagnosis through to treatment and rehabilitation. We have a number of Consultant Paediatricians who hold regular outpatient clinics at Holly House, as well consultants from most specialties including dermatology, ENT, oral surgery, ophthalmology and urology who treat children. Our onsite Diagnostic Centre also has a consultant paediatric radiologist and can perform any x-rays or scans which may be required to aid diagnosis.
If your child needs further treatment, we offer a safe, friendly and supportive environment for young patients and their families. We have two specialist paediatric nurses, so your child will be assigned a nurse who will works closely with their consultant to ensure continuity and a trusting relationship during their stay. We also have children’s meal options and young children will receive a special Bravery Certificate and Holly House teddy bear to take home after their visit. Parents or carers are able to stay overnight with their child in their private, ensuite patient bedroom.
