Genitourinary medicine
Genitourinary medicine is the branch of medicine concerned with the genitourinary tract (the kidneys, ureters, bladder and uretha) and genital organs.
We offer outpatient clinics with Consultant Physicians specialising in genitourinary medicine. We can care for you from diagnosis through to treatment for a wide range of conditions. Your consultant also has access to other specialists within the hospital including our Consultant Endocrinologists and Urologists, to work with and refer to as appropriate.
Our consultants specialise in:
- bacterial vaginosis
- cystitis
- genital ulcers or warts
- HIV
- non-specific urethritis
- pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)
- sexually transmitted infections
- thrush (candida)
