At Holly House, we believe looking after you following your surgery is an important part in helping you maintain your weight loss and health. Follow-up appointments are an important part of this, as is a named telephone contact (either the surgeon or a nurse at the hospital) in case you have any questions or worries after your operation that cannot wait until your next appointment. Your follow-up consultations may also be used to take blood tests to help monitor your recovery and progress.

Typically, for all weight loss surgery (excluding gastric banding), you will have the following post-operative follow-up appointments: Lady celebrating weight loss

2 week follow-up appointment
6 week follow-up appointment
subsequent follow-up appointments every 12 weeks until 12 months after surgery.

For gastric band patients, you will need regular check-ups, typically:

2 week follow-up appointment
6 week follow-up appointment (to tighten the band)
subsequent follow-up appointment every 2-4 weeks (to tighten the band)
a follow-up appointment one year after surgery.

These follow-up consultations are included in the price of your surgery.
