Here at Holly House, we understand that infertility is a very sensitive subject and that seeking treatment can be difficult - so we want to make things as easy and as comfortable for you as we possibly can.

If you have been referred to us by your doctor or you have booked yourself for a consultation, the first step in the process is a consultation with a Consultant Fertility Specialist. Both female and male Consultants are available should you have a preference.

If you have previously had investigations undertaken elsewhere, we advise that you obtain copies of any records prior to your consultation as this will help things run more smoothly and quickly.

We have our own dedicated fertility suite on the 2nd floor of Holly House Hospital with its own waiting area so your privacy and comfort are assured.

During your consultation, we will discuss in detail both partners' medical history and explore some of the options, investigations and treatments available to you.

You may wish to take some notes as you may find there is a lot of new information to take in.

After your consultation, our fertility nurse co-ordinator is available to go over any information you are unsure of and to answer any other questions you may have thought of.

Should you need, and decide to go ahead with treatment, your nurse co-ordinator will be with you every step of the way to ensure the smoothest possible process.

Most treatments, after the necessary tests have been completed can be started almost immediately. If you find that after your consultation, you have more questions or you are unsure of something, we really are here to help so please don't hesitate to contact us!
