Exercise and sport is good for us, helping us maintain and build healthy bones, flexibility, joints, stronger muscles, and improve our overall stamina and fitness levels. But, it does place extra stress on our bodies.
Sports medicine is the speciality concerned with assessing fitness and preventing injury, as well as treating any disorders related to sport. It focuses specifically on the non-surgical treatment of soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries.
