Training & Background
After qualifying as a Urologist in the prestigious Urology Department, Hospital Clinic Barcelona, Spain, in 2003 Mr Carretero-Zamora moved to the UK where he undertook extensive training in Laparoscopic surgery.
Mr Carretero-Zamora was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon in 2008 and played a substantial role in developing the laparoscopic Urology Services in the North East of England, and now is developing the Advanced Laparoscopic Urology Service at BHR Hospitals NHS Trust.
