Training & Background
Dr Sayer graduated from The Medical College of St Bartholomew's Hospital and his cardiology training took place at Barts and the London Chest Hospital. He was appointed as Consultant in Cardiology in 1999 at The Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow and St Bartholomew's Hospital, London and then at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre in 2007.
He is the Cardiology Lead doctor at Princess Alexandra Hospital and Lead for Interventional Cardiology at The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre. Dr Sayer has been Chairman of the West Essex Cardiology Group and closely involved with the Essex Cardiac Network, as arrhythmia lead, and has an active interest in improving heart failure services.
