Work experience
We are pleased to offer young people the chance to undertake work experience at Holly House Hospital. Our aim is to help you explore possible careers within healthcare and find out more about the working environment.
What can we offer?

General work experience - aimed at Year 10 school students. This work experience programme includes a variety of placements within the hospital such as Reception, Medical Records, Pharmacy, Reservations, HR, IT, Maintenance, Finance and Marketing. Please note that people 16 years and under are not permitted to work directly within any clinical areas.
- Pre-medical work experience - aimed at those in further education and studying for a degree in medicine or allied health professional training such as physiotherapy.
Availability
Please note that as a small hospital we are only able to offer a limited number of placements per year. Priority is given to those people applying who either live locally or attend a local school or college.

In the first instance, please contact us by telephone on 020 8936 1258 to check availability. If we can accommodate your request for work experience, we will ask you write to us with:
- your name, address, telephone number and email address
- the dates you can and cannot undertake the placement
- why you want a placement at Holly House Hospital
- your future career plans
- your preferred area(s) of work.
Applicants will then be asked to come to the hospital for a mock interview prior to the placement starting.
