After pregnancy, many women experience varying degrees of breast sagging and softening. With multiple pregnancy or alternating weight gain and loss, breast displacement and flattening becomes more noticeable. The size of the breasts may remain the same, but the firmness and erect position can be lost. It is often possible to reshape the breast into one which looks more youthful and feels firmer. The operation is called a Mastopexy, or breast uplift, and involves a general anaestheic and an overnight stay in hospital.
By lifting the nipples to a better location and changing the position of the crease underneath this operation produces a more normal appearance. There are no exercises which are capable of shrinking stretched skin and once the breasts have started sagging, exercises will not help. Your surgeon may suggest other alternatives such as breast augmentation or reduction, to achieve the desired result. Cosmetic surgery advice
